Twenty-five years ago, no one imagined HIV-positive people could live full, healthy loving lives. With success, however, comes a new risk – the risk of complacency. As HIV/AIDS drifts from the headlines, so too does the funding and vigorous action vital to defeat the virus.
In solidarity with World AIDS Day 2016, a call for open and equal access to treatment for everyone, we invite you to join us for two events: The Mark Dreiling Legacy Council Patrons Reception and the World AIDS Day Community Luncheon.
Established in 2013, The Mark Dreiling Legacy Council honors Mark’s incomparable community activism and those whose contributions exemplify his leadership and integrity.
We hope you’ll consider supporting World AIDS Day 2016 by making a contribution towards the event.
Members of the Mark Dreiling Legacy Council will be invited to the World AIDS Day Patron Party on Tuesday, November 29th, 5:30 to 7:30 pm, at the home of Ann and Tom Isenberg, 6433 Aberdeen Road, Mission Hills, KS and the World AIDS Day Community Luncheon on Wednesday, November 30th, 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at THE PARKWAY ROOM at the 1900 BUILDING, 1900 Shawnee Mission Parkway, Mission Woods, KS.
At the Community Luncheon, Dr. Gail Wyatt, PhD, one of America’s foremost HIV/AIDS researchers and Director of the UCLA Sexual Health Sciences, will share a keynote address. Dr. Wyatt has conducted national and international research since 1980, funded by the National Institutes of Mental Health, the National Institute of Drug Abuse and state and private foundations. Dr. Wyatt will also join us at the reception on Tuesday evening.
To ensure a seat at this special event, please make your contribution by Monday, November 21st. For a list of donor levels and benefits, please click on the following link. www.aidswalkevent.org
